Shooting Drills

This is the page for Shooting Drills, you will find information and videos on how to improve your shooting. There will be a workout plan for Shooting here.

Shooting Workout #1

1. Form Shooting(50-70 Shots)
Proximity to the Basket: You need to be so close to the basket you could almost touch it.
One-Hand Shooting: 20 shots only with shooting hand, smooth release.
Use Your Guide Hand: 30 shots, now using both hands. Remember your guide hand should just guide the ball.


2. Spot shooting (50-75 shots) 
Pick Your Spots: Choose for yourself 3-5 spots around the three point line, and a couple closer to the basket. Examples: top of the key, each wing, corner, free-throw line.
Shoot from Each Spot: 10-15 shots from each spot shoot. Make as much of a shot as possible and get your feet set quickly.


3. Game Simulation (50 Shots) Get yourself a partner: Have a teammate or coach pass you the ball. Move Around: Have them pass the ball from different spots and angles, similar to what would happen in a game. Shoot Quickly: Catch the ball, get your feet set and shoot with good form. 


4. Shots: 
Top-30 Shots Right Wing-30 Shots Left Wing-30 Shots. 


5. Free Throws, 25-75 Free throws shot at the end of a workout.
